CWC 2015

Kara Hartley (you may know her as Kara Gilbert) is our speaker for 2015.  Kara serves with the Anglican Church in Sydney where her main role is teaching the Bible to women. She also works with women in ministry, to encourage them in their work in local churches as they seek to build others up in Christ.

Kara became a Christian in late high school. She studied at the University of Western Sydney, Nepean, and later went on to study the Bible at both Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) and Moore College.  Since 1996 Kara has worked in women’s ministry at St Thomas’, North Sydney, and more recently at Crossway Anglican Churches.  Kara married in 2013, and lives in the southern suburbs of Sydney where she is learning to enjoy having a garden.

In Colossians, Paul paints a rich picture of Christ, “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3).   Jesus is supreme, and through Him we find not only the forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God we so desperately need, but also the freedom, strength and joy to follow Him the rest of our days.   Join us as we learn more about a life worth living for Jesus.

CWC 2015 should be a time of great encouragement, so why not bring a friend who hasn’t been before, or organise a group from church?  If you would like more information, contact Kate at kate@onedaycwc.org.au.
